Abstract
Phospholipid scramblases (PLSCR) is a calcium-dependent, transmembrane protein, which contributes to the movement of phospholipids. PLSCR1 plays a significant role in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and also in the pathogenesis of several types of cancers. From clinical researches it was understood that the serological expression of these proteins could be used as one of the biomarker components in the diagnosis of several types of cancer. In addition these markers could be used in therapy and also designing drugs. Downregulation of PLSCR and inhibitors of phospholipid scramblase like monoclonal antibodies has proved to inhibit the proliferation and neoplastic transformation of cancer cells. This study aims to identify the expression of scramblase in various types of cancer at blood plasma levels to identify the diagnostic and therapeutic value of scramblase.

Key words: phospholipid scramblases, biomarkers, neoplastic transformation
