Credit Seminar on Non Coding Rna and Abiotic Stress

Human Food Crops grown extensively in INDIA and all over the world. Biotic and abiotic stresses are affecting yield potential of these crops. Abiotic stresses include drought stress, salinity, cold stress which takes a major role. Recently, many small RNAs like microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs have been discovered from plants by giving individual stresses. The current technology of membrane array-based expression profiling methods is allowed to screen the miRNAs in individual plant stress response. The regulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) in response to abiotic stresses constitutes a major part of the biology of plant miRNAs. In this review I discuss the work done by various researchers about the roles of several types miRNAs involved in individual abiotic stress conditions and possible directions of future research.
